After an afternoon spent at the National Art Gallery at the "Pop Life: Art in a Material World" exhibit, it seemed fitting to watch a documentary on the artist who started it all.This was the first documentary done on Warhol following his death in 1987, which examines his life through examples of his works, archival footage, and interviews with friends. Knowing very little about Warhol, this film provided a great assortment of information, and was, thankfully, not a talking-head documentary. Not having seen any other documentaries on Warhol, I am unable to judge how well this film provides a view of his life, but I was intrigued and interested throughout, so I'd say it was a successful documentary.
